1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Shiplog ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.
2. Description of Service
Shiplog is a software-as-a-service platform that connects to your GitHub repositories and automatically generates human-readable changelog entries from commits and merged pull requests using artificial intelligence. The generated changelogs are published on publicly accessible pages.
3. Account Registration
To use Shiplog, you must:
- •Provide accurate and complete registration information
- •Maintain the security of your account credentials
- •Be at least 16 years of age
- •Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
4. GitHub Authorization
By connecting your GitHub account, you authorize Shiplog to access your repository data, including commit messages, pull request descriptions, and repository metadata. You confirm that you have the necessary permissions to grant this access for each repository you connect. You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the repository in your settings or revoking access from your GitHub account settings.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Shiplog offers free and paid subscription plans:
- •Free: 1 repository, last 30 days of history
- •Pro ($19/month): up to 5 repositories, unlimited history, custom domain
- •Team ($49/month): unlimited repositories, team members, priority support
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Paddle. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. AI-Generated Content
Changelog entries are generated by artificial intelligence based on your commit messages and pull request descriptions. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before publishing. Shiplog is not liable for any inaccuracies in AI-generated changelog entries.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- •Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- •Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- •Abuse the API or webhook endpoints
- •Connect repositories you do not own or have permission to access
- •Publish misleading or harmful content through the Service
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your repository data and any content you create using the Service. Shiplog retains ownership of the Service itself, including its design, code, and branding. The AI-generated changelog content belongs to you once generated.
9. Limitation of Liability
Shiplog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
