When you use Shiplog, we collect the following information:

  • •Repository data: repository names, commit messages, and pull request descriptions from repositories you connect to Shiplog.
  • •Usage data: how you interact with our service, including pages visited and features used.
  • •Payment information: billing details are processed by Paddle. We do not store your credit card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • •Provide and maintain the Shiplog service
  • •Generate changelog entries from your repository data using AI
  • •Send transactional emails related to your account
  • •Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • •Improve and optimize our service

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). GitHub access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and validate webhook signatures to prevent unauthorized access.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • •GitHub — for repository access and OAuth authentication
  • •OpenAI— for AI-powered changelog generation. Commit messages and PR descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API to generate changelog text.
  • •Supabase — for authentication and database hosting
  • •Paddle — for payment processing
  • •Vercel — for application hosting

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:
